Members of our team are currently reading all sorts of "literature." Full review of the entire back catalogue of the "Beano" on line soon. As soon as I get my pea shooter back that is... But that's a bit rubbish really. I used to work in Dillons the bookstore on Argyle St. Glasgow. Was a lot of fun and the staff discount was used to great effect and I managed to get just about all of the Bukowski novels in Black Sparrow Press edition. There are some amazingly good books out there and I feel I should make more of an effort on this page, but I genuinely don't have the time right now. I would recommend Omon Ra by Viktor Pelevin and Post Office by Charles Bukowski. Both very good for very different reasons. Also Bret Easton Ellis. Very famous for American Psycho and this was the first one that I read. But Less than Zero and Rules of Attraction are much better. Last two I will mention just now are Sombrero Fallout by Richard Brautigan, and My Brother's Gun by Ray Loriga. Track them down, read the blurb on the back and maybe buy them. |
